A Bishops Waltham Walk in the Woods

It was a grey late November day and the sky was threatening rain as I waited for this lovely family of 4 to arrive…then I started to feel spots of rain on my face and frantically started to think of sheltered places we could go so we (and my camera kit) wouldn’t get too wet. I always ask my families to dress for the potential weather because unless it’s really horrible, I do tend to be very British about it and carry on regardless!

As luck would have it, the spots of rain didn’t develop into more than a light shower and our walk along the treelined dismantled railway line in Bishop’s Waltham provided a decent amount of cover without blocking too much light.

2.5 yr old Ewan and 8 month old Molly were such fun and really enjoy being surrounded by nature… we looked for Gruffalos, made wands from twigs and kept an eye out for Stick Man….he was definitely there somewhere! Both children are gorgeous and expressive and made my job to capture their characters really easy. Also great, as a quick turnaround was required to ensure these images could be printed in time to be given as Christmas presents for the Grandparents (which is a fabulous idea!).
