Mummy and Me in the Marwell bluebell woods, Hampshire

After last week’s photoshoot in the bluebells I was completely in awe of what a beautiful backdrop the flowers can create, so I was delighted to have the opportunity to photograph one of the most beautiful ladies I have the pleasure of calling my friend and her gorgeous boy, Noah.

We met just after 2pm, which is typically a tough time for photographers as the sun is so high in the sky and can cause troublesome shadows. However, being the glutton for punishment that I am, we went for it anyway and after a morning of nicely clouded skies, it was just our luck that the sun was blazing by the time we met at Marwell zoo car park in Hampshire.

We headed into the woods behind the zoo to find a nicely shaded area with a beautiful blanket of bluebells – luckily there were no prickles this time! Although there were a few occasions when the strength of the sun made shooting difficult, it definitely didn’t affect the end product, as I hope you’ll agree we got some stunning images. It helps that Noah is a cutie with the most incredible eyes and Jo is a gorgeous mama who could look amazing  in a bin bag!

I adore ‘Mummy and Me’ sessions and this one was no different! I love when mummy can just take some time out, relax and snuggle their little one, play and breathe them in; basking in the glory of the amazingness they have created. Then to top it all they get some beautiful images capturing the immense love they feel, but rarely get to see.
